I told you I still have a chance...........

The Mariners have another bullpen candidate in the pipeline. Right-hander Jeff Zimmerman, the former closer for the Texas Rangers, signed a minor-league deal with the team. Zimmerman is 36 and hasn't pitched in the majors since 2001. Top Mariners scout Carmen Fusco looked at him at the end of spring training and came away impressed. Zimmerman was throwing up to 90 mph, but what really impressed M's officials was how free and easy he was throwing.

Because our bullpen was hurting for righties right? Because Mr Zimmerman was throwing in the 90's right? What on gods green earth does our farm system look like for a move like this to be made, and look good?
